A Practical Toy Organization System

I told you last month that I was in organizing mode; and though I’ve slowed down on the projects considerably, I’m still in the mode of celebrating the extra bit of order I’ve successfully (re)instilled (obtaining order is an ongoing task, isn’t it?!) in my home. A neat closet sure can make this momma’s day month. :-)

But there is far more to an orderly home than an organized closet, that’s for sure. Well-kept hidden places are a bonus, but clean open spaces are a MUST–for me, at least. One of the biggest challenges to neat housekeeping is this thing I’m calling “the toy beast.” Toys are plentiful in a family of four kids; and truly, if a practical toy organization system isn’t in place, nothing will be.

Fortunately, I’ve found a system that works wonderfully for organizing all sorts of toys, from babies to Barbies and Littlest Pet Shop to LEGO.
